The Synod of the Syro Malabar Catholic Church convened from January 8th to 10th, culminating in the election of Mar Raphael Thattil as the new Major Archbishop. Following the approval of his election by the Pope, Mar Thattil assumed office on January 11th as the head of the Syro Malabar Church.
Mar Thattil's appointment by the Supreme Head of the Church, Lord Jesus Christ, comes at a pivotal moment for the Church, marked by significant challenges. Yet, in the eyes of the Lord, no challenge is insurmountable.
