27th All Kerala Logos Quiz 2027: Complete Details, Syllabus, Registration, Exam Fee and Date

The 27th All Kerala Logos Quiz, one of the most popular Bible-study competitions of the Catholic Church in Kerala, will be conducted throughout Kerala on Sunday, September 26, 2027.

Organised under the auspices of the KCBC Bible Commission and the Kerala Catholic Bible Society, the Logos Quiz provides Catholics of different age groups with a wonderful opportunity to read, study and meditate on the Holy Bible.

The purpose of the Logos Quiz is much greater than simply winning a prize. It is an opportunity to study the Word of God prayerfully, deepen one's knowledge of the Holy Bible and grow in knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. The official Logos material describes it as an opportunity to know Jesus Christ, the Saviour and Lord, more deeply and to study the Word of God meaningfully.

The 27th Logos Quiz will therefore be an excellent opportunity for individuals and families to make 2027 a special year of Bible study.

The complete portions are:

1. First Book of Samuel —

1 Samuel / ഒന്നാം സാമുവൽ

Chapters 8–22: (15 chapters)

This portion includes important events connected with Samuel, Saul and David and covers a fascinating period in the history of Israel.

2. Ecclesiastes — സഭാപ്രസംഗകൻ

Chapters 7–12 (6 chapters)

The Book of Ecclesiastes / സഭാപ്രസംഗകൻ

offers profound reflections on wisdom, human life, worldly achievements, righteousness, the meaning of life and the fear of God.

3. Gospel According to John — യോഹന്നാൻ സുവിശേഷം

Chapters 3–21 (19 chapters)

This is the largest portion of the 2027 syllabus.

The chapters contain many of the most important teachings and events in the Gospel according to St John, including the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, His signs and miracles, His encounters with individuals, the raising of Lazarus, the Last Supper, His Passion, Death and glorious Resurrection.

Participants should therefore give special attention to this section.

4. Letter of St Paul to the Philippians — ഫിലിപ്പി

Chapters 1–4 (4 chapters)

The complete Letter to the Philippians is included in the 2027 syllabus.

Although it contains only four chapters, it is filled with profound Christian teaching and memorable passages concerning joy, humility, Christian living, unity and faith in Christ.

👧👦 Six Age Groups

The Logos Quiz is special because it is not restricted to children or young people.

Participants are divided into six age groups — A, B, C, D, E and F — so that people of different generations can participate and compete within their respective categories.

The Kerala Catholic Bible Society officially describes the Logos Quiz as having six age groups and states that evaluation and prizes are based on these categories.

The 2027 age-group birth-date cut-offs should be followed exactly as given in the 2027 registration notification/registration system.

The six groups are:

  • A Group

  • B Group

  • C Group

  • D Group

  • E Group

  • F Group

This six-category structure allows children, teenagers, young adults, middle-aged participants and senior citizens to take part in the great Bible-learning movement.

💰 Only ₹20 to Take Part!

One of the most attractive features of the 27th Logos Quiz is its extremely low registration fee.

Examination Fee: ₹20

For just ₹20, a participant receives an opportunity to undertake a structured study of 48 chapters of the Holy Bible and participate in one of Kerala's largest Catholic Bible competitions.

The spiritual value of such an opportunity is far greater than the registration fee.

📝 Where Can You Register?

The Logos Quiz is traditionally organised through parishes and Catholic institutions that serve as examination centres.

The official Kerala Catholic Bible Society explains that a parish or Catholic institution can function as a Logos examination centre and that participants can register there.

Therefore, those wishing to participate should contact their parish or the Logos Quiz coordinator at their local Catholic institution.

The registration period for 2027 is: June 1 to July 31, 2027

Do not wait until the last few days.

⏰ Examination on September 26, 2027

The first-level All Kerala Logos Examination will be held on:

Sunday, September 26, 2027.... from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Participants should reach their examination centre sufficiently early and carry whatever hall-ticket or registration documents are required by the organisers.

The Logos Quiz has traditionally used objective-type questions. Previous official Logos question papers show multiple-choice questions and a designated answer sheet for participants.

🏆 More Than Just a Bible Competition

The Logos Quiz is not simply another examination.

The official Kerala Catholic Bible Society explains that its principal purpose is to give everyone an opportunity to study the Bible prayerfully and imbibe the message of the Word of God. It also provides opportunities for attractive prizes, shields, gold medals, trophies and certificates.

Therefore, participants should not approach the Logos Quiz merely with the ambition of obtaining a high score.

The real objective should be:

Read the Word of God.
Understand the Word of God.
Meditate on the Word of God.
Live the Word of God.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Make Logos Quiz a Family Bible Project

One of the greatest benefits of the Logos Quiz is that it can bring the entire family together around the Holy Bible.

Instead of each person spending the evening separately with a mobile phone or television, a family can spend even 30 minutes reading the day's portion together.

Parents can ask questions.

Children can search for answers.

Grandparents can share what they remember from the Holy Bible.

In this way, preparation for the Logos Quiz can itself become a beautiful family Bible apostolate.

The Kerala Catholic Bible Society has also established the Logos Familia Quiz, specifically to encourage Bible study within families.

📚 How to Prepare for the 2027 Logos Quiz

There are 48 chapters to study. Starting early is therefore a great advantage.

1. Read the actual Bible first

Do not depend only on guides, notes or question banks.

Read the Biblical text itself.

2. Read each chapter several times

On the first reading, understand the story.

On the second reading, identify important persons and events.

On subsequent readings, pay attention to details.

3. Make chapter-wise notes

Write down:

  • Important names

  • Places

  • Events

  • Numbers

  • Relationships

  • Important statements

  • Who said something

  • To whom it was said

  • Important Biblical teachings

  • Significant incidents

4. Give special attention to John 3–21

With 19 chapters, the Gospel according to John forms the largest part of the 2027 syllabus.

Study it carefully and repeatedly.

5. Study 1 Samuel 8–22 systematically

Make a timeline of the important events involving Samuel, Saul and David.

6. Do not neglect the shorter letters

The four chapters of Philippians and four chapters of Colossians may appear small compared with John's Gospel, but every detail can be important in a Bible quiz.

7. Practise previous Logos questions

The Kerala Catholic Bible Society maintains a collection of previous-year Logos Quiz question papers and an online sample-test facility.

Practising these questions is one of the best ways to understand the style of the examination.

🌟 Why Should You Participate?

You do not need to be a Bible scholar to participate.

You do not need to be a child or a young person.

You do not need to expect a prize.

You simply need the desire to know the Word of God more deeply.

The six age categories make it possible for people of different generations to participate. The examination is conducted through Catholic parishes and institutions, making it possible for the Logos movement to reach Catholic communities throughout Kerala and beyond.

And the preparation itself can become a spiritual blessing.
