The 2nd phase of covid-19 is very severe and rampaging especially in India. While on one side the country is boasting and publicizing the largest vaccine drive in the world by administering the ingenious vaccines developed against novel coronavirus disease, the number of persons affected by the aggressive covid wave 2 are on the highest and the death toll also is very alarming on the other side. Even the Delhi High Court has termed the second phase of covid-19 as a 'covid tsunami'. 

Because of the inefficiency of the government in planning things properly in advance, shortage of vaccine supply affected the vaccination drive very pathetically in most states. As the number of patients rose beyond calculations, oxygen meant for artificial respiration is also exhausted in most places and many covid patients are pathetically dying.

As the covaxin and covishield vaccines manufactured in India are not sufficient to meet the needs, the country has now decided to open the doors for other brands also in India like- ‘Sputnik v, Pfizer, Astrazeneca, etc. Although most of these vaccines assure only 60% to 70% success rate, people are crowding to get 2 doses thinking that these vaccines will save their lives from coronavirus. More alarming news is that these vaccines are not likely to act effectively against the 3rd phase of covid which is already reported.

Many people may not be aware of another vaccine which is 100% effective and guaranteed. Most Catholics have already received It. But many may not be aware of it. Last year the Pope asked all faithful to say a short Prayer “I am vaccinated by the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, no virus can touch me”. This prayer in the form of a declaration may not be meant only for the corona borne diseases, but also for both physical and spiritual viruses which are affecting humanity very badly these days. 

We are seeing in today’s world more deadly viruses than corona. They are hate, self-justification, prejudice, jealousy, pride, selfishness etc that are affecting humanity across borders. These viruses affect the persons from within and makes him/her spiritually dead which also affects  physically. God the Loving Father wants each of His children to live a life at its fullness. Therefore He sent His only son Jesus Christ as ransom to redeem His people from the bandage of sin. 

Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, who is the greatest physician and giver of Life had given us the vaccine for all these viruses about 2000 years ago. He shed every drop of His most Holy and Precious Blood for the salvation of mankind. This Blood is consumed by most Catholics in Holy Masses that serves as an eternal vaccine. This vaccine provides peace, love, joy, forgiveness, happiness etc in abundance. This vaccine also serves as a 100% guaranteed drug against all physical ailments and diseases for those who believe it firmly.

Hence dear child of God, there is no need for you to panic even in such horrible times. Be calm. Believe in the Almighty God. Believe in His Human incarnation as Jesus Christ. With firm hope and faith in heart, profess/declare this fact as frequently as possible when you are anxious. This is 100% guaranteed and proven. Open to one and all who can believe!

Very Important Warning: Start the DIVINE MERCY Novena on GOOD FRIDAY (2nd April, 2021)

We are passing through very uncertain days. Millions of people who lived in this planet just like us, this time last year, are no more. Some of them might have heeded to the cautions and warnings given from Above through many sources and would have attained Eternal Bliss. Please pray earnestly to the Holy Virgin Mother to grant you Divine Grace by Praying the Holy Rosary chaplets. The Holy Virgin Mother, Who is 'full of Grace' will give It in plenty so that you will be able to see clearly the unknown/hidden sins and drawbacks in your life.

How to Receive God's Mercy now... at this moment?

God's Mercy is limitless. The Holy Bible says that "God's Compassion  towards those who fear Him is so great as the heavens are high above the earth" and "As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; (Psalm 103).

God's Mercy can be sought and got instantly (free of cost) being at any place. All what is needed is a 'sense of sin' and a 'sincerely repenting heart'. If one can shed some tears thinking one's own wrong deeds/sins, the Eternal Father's compassion will hug that sinner. A honest confession must be made as soon as possible.

What and for what the 'Divine Mercy Novena and Chaplet'?

The 'Divine Mercy Devotion' is a Spiritual commitment taught by the Lord Himself through St Faustina. It is the last chance (hope) for anyone living on this earth. Through Divine Mercy Novena, even a very grave sinner can implore and obtain God's Mercy and attain eternal salvation (like the good thief). 

The Divine Mercy Novena should be begun on the 'Good Friday' and Prayed daily till the 'Divine Mercy Solemnity Day' ie on the 'first Sunday after Easter'. We can pray a Divine Mercy Chaplet (Rosary) for nine consecutive days and get forgiveness of all sins and indulgence also. In this year 2021, the Good Friday falls on the 2nd of April and the Divine Mercy Sunday is on the 11th of April.

Extraordinary Solemn Feasts of St Joseph Celebrated on March -19 and May-1, 2021

 

St Joseph, the just Husband of Holy Virgin Mother and the Forster Father of Lord Jesus Christ has two Solemn Feast Days in the Liturgical calendar every year. One is on March 19, His Birthday (official entry day) in Heaven and the other one is on May 1st Commemorating Him as the patron of all workers in the world.

Why is the Solemnity of St Joseph celebrated in a very special manner this year in 2021?

St Joseph has been venerated as the patron of families in the Catholic Church since beginning. In 1870 on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Virgin Mother (8th December) Pope Blessed Pius IX declared St Joseph as the Patron of the Universal Catholic Church.

This year commemorating the 150th anniversary of the declaration, Pope Francis proclaimed a 'very special year in honour of St Joseph' starting from 2020 Solemnity of Immaculate Conception to 2021 Feast ie on December 8th.

As the solemn feasts of St Joseph on March 19th and May 1st in 2021 falls in this special year, these feasts are also unusual and very extraordinary..!

Catholic Church clarifies Its stand on same-sex marriage and homosexuality

Following the release of the documentary titled 'Francesco' in October 2020, in which it is alleged that Pope Francis endorsing 'same-sex civil unions', there has been wide confusion and criticism inside and outside the Church saying that the Pope is encouraging 'gay marriages' by asking to legalize it.

The enemies of the Catholic Church used this opportunity very well to attack the Church, saying that the Church is deviating from the Teachings of the Holy Bible and framing its own rules and laws to suit the modern sinful lifestyles.  

Now putting an end to all the confusions that rose out of all the fake propagations, Vatican's 'Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith' (CDF) has released an official statement with clear explanation on the controversial issue. 

The Catholic Church's 'Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith' has made it clear with the approval of the Pope Francis through an official decree that the Church cannot bless same-sex unions or gay marriages.

The Christian community and its pastors must welcome with respect and sensitivity such persons with homosexual inclinations, but their unions cannot be blessed. The Church has a compassionate stand towards the rights and wellbeing of the LBGT persons. But as marriage is a 'Holy Sacrament' aimed for creation and as LBGT reunions do not pave way for it, it cannot be blessed as a sacrament.

Kreupasanam Shrine 'Reopened' for Udambadi registration and Renewal

There is a Happy News for the devoted children of the Holy Mother of Kreupasanam. Kreupasanam Marian Shrine situated in Kalavoor in Alappuzha of Kerala has re-opened for the public after being closed for nearly a year owing to covid-19 related lockdown. Kreupasanam Retreat Center has been serving as the last resort for many people in solving their various burning problems.

Numerous persons irrespective of any religious differences have testified that just stepping in the soil where Holy Mother of God appeared to Her devout son Rev Fr Joseph Valiyaveettil itself has given inexplicable solace and an instant solution to their hopeless issues that appeared unsolvable. 

During the covid related national lockdown, Kreupasanam Shrine too was closed in accordance with the directives issued by the Church authorities and the government. The 36th Kottayam Catholic Bible Convention is being held from the 10th to 14th of February 2021 in a Solemn manner. The Kottayam Bible Convention is jointly organized by the Kottayam Catholic Movement and the Kottayam Charismatic Zone.

LOGOS BIBLE QUIZ 2020, which was postponed several times owing to the covid -19 pandemic conditions, is finally decided to be conducted on Sunday, the 26th of September, 2021. This will be treated as Logos Bible Quiz 2020 and 2021 combined. 

As per the official notification published by Rev Fr Johnson Puthusserry, the secretary of KCBC Bible Commission, the Managing council of the Commission has fixed the new exam date as above.

The syllabus prescribed early for the 2020 exam will be the same for the 2021 Exam also. Those who have Registered for the 2020 Logos Exam are eligible for the 2021 Exam. They need not register again.

Those who have not yet registered for the upcoming 2021 Logos Bible quiz, can register online in the month of June and July, when online data updation (Online Registration) becomes possible on the official website.

Holy Mother of Mount Carmel and St Joseph Church Kochi elevated as Minor Basilica

In the Liturgical year 2021, which is specially dedicated to the Patron of the Catholic Church- St Joseph by Pope Francis,  the small but vibrant Church in Kerala too got an amazing gift from the Pontiff. The Head of the Church has recognised and announced the elevation of one of Kerala's oldest and most beautiful Churches as a Minor Basilica. 

In a fitting move, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St Joseph's Church in Varapuzha, which was established in 1673 and served as a Cathedral until 1904 is upgraded and enlisted as a Minor Basilica by the Universal Catholic Church in January, 2021. 

The historic Church which is situated in an island in a serene atmosphere in Kochi has been a solace to numerous people without any religious differences for nearly three and a half centuries. As numerous people used to come to this Church seeking the immediate Help and intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mother and Her Noble and Just spouse St Joseph, it is considered as a pilgrim center.

Whoever wants to have peace of mind and Divine experience can go to this Minor Basilica and meditate there for some time and get abundant Grace from Heaven through the intercession of the Holy Mother and St Joseph.

Catholics are highly encouraged to seek a sincere and Holy Confession with true hearty repentance for the occurrence of a guaranteed miracle in their lives.

കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി രൂപത കുടുംബനവീകരണ ധ്യാനം 2020 by Rev Fr. ജോസഫ് പുത്തൻപുരക്കൽ OFM CAP ഡിസംബർ 15 മുതൽ 19 വരെ 

വിശ്വാസികളുടെ ആത്മീയ വളർച്ചയെ ഉന്നം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ട് വർഷാ വർഷം കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി കത്തോലിക്കാ രൂപത പ്രഗല്ഫരും കൃപ ലഭിച്ചവരുമായ ആത്മീയ ഗുരുക്കന്മാരാൽ കുടുംബ നവീകരണ ധ്യാനം നടത്തിപ്പോരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഈ വർഷം കോവിഡ് രോഗ വ്യാപ്‌തിയുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ പതിവിനു വ്യത്യാസമായി ധ്യാനം ഓൺലൈൻ ആയി നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു!

JOSHUA PRAYER by Shalom Ministry December 2020: Instructions

 

Shalom Television managed by Shalom Ministry, which has been helping the Faithful to grow in holiness and remain close to God with their numerous Spiritual programs, is presenting yet another Spiritual Activity intended to welcome Christmas 2020 in a fitting manner. 

 

After the successful presentation of 'Daniel Fasting' and 'Rosary War' in this pandemic affected time which was warmly welcomed by tens of thousands of devotees with their prompt online participation, now they are presenting "Joshua Prayer" which too will create records!

Joshua Prayer and messages on Shalom TV are to be shared by popular Malayalam Catholic Charismatic leaders from; 

1st to 6th December, 2020: 

Timings 5.30 AM (IST/EST/GMT).

[Repeat 1 pm, 9.30 pm and 12 am]

7th to 24th December 2020:

6.00 am (IST/EST/GMT). 

[Repeat 1.30 pm, 10.00 pm, 12 pm.]

Watch this video for the instructions to be followed to participate actively in the 'Joshua Prayer'.

 

1. Observe the Lenten Fasting and Abstinence 

2. Participate in the Holy Mass everyday (if possibly directly in person or online)

3. Observe Fasting at least once in a week.

4. Read one chapter daily from the Holy Gospel by St Luke.

5. Please recite the 'Holy Word' shared through Shalom TV at least 50 times daily and Pray for the sanctification of the families.

6. Pray daily the Ejaculatory Prayers shared through Shalom TV several times.
